La Ruta de Isabel. The route of Isabel

En nuestra infancia estudiamos en el colegio la Historia de España, con mayor o menor interés, según las inclinaciones de cada uno. Dicen que la cultura es lo que que nos queda después de haberlo olvidado todo. Y como tantas cosas que olvidamos, también fueron los detalles y las fechas de los Reyes Católicos. Pero la televisión, que todo lo puede, nos ha traído en 2013 un personaje cercano, de carne y hueso, que se llama Isabel y que nos ha cautivado mostrándonos  una novela que es real y que fue tan importante para la historia de España.

In our childhood we studied in school history in Spain, with more or less interest, according to the desires of each. They say that culture is what we have left after you have forgotten everything. And like so many things we forget, were also the details and dates of the Catholic Kings. But television, can all, brought to us in 2013 a nearby character, of flesh and bone, called Isabel which has captivated us and showing us a novel that is real and that was so important to the history of Spain.

Como a tantos otros a mi también me ha cautivado el personaje que supuso para España la transición de la era medieval a la moderna. Y más allá de la serie televisiva, me he propuesto indagar un poco más en él para ver y estudiar sobre el terreno los mismos lugares que Isabel pisó. 

Mochila al hombro y cámara en ristre el autor de este blog y su infatigable colaboradora estamos recorriendo los principales parajes que cuentan en la serie, los libros de historia y las webs. 

Realmente es un ejercicio apasionante ver la historia, no como la veíamos en los libros del colegio, sino en los sitios reales donde se desenvolvió. Es un "laboratorio" de Historia.

Like many others the character too have captivated me which supposed to Spain the transition from medieval to modern era. And beyond the TV series, I plan to dig a little deeper into him to see and study on the ground the same places as Isabel stepped. 

Backpack and camera in hand I'm visiting the main places that relate in the series, the history books and the web. 

It really is a fascinating exercise to see history, not as we saw in the books of the school, but in the real sites that tokk place. It is a "laboratory" of history.
